SURROUNDINGS

The cottage is beautifully situated, with a lovely view of the lake “Rödsvattnet” which is 4 km long and looks like a hook. Here it is perfect to paddle a kayak if you have your own kayak.

There are also nice hiking trails in the woods and on the ground. Only 200 meters to swimming opportunities in the lake. But it is never far to the sea wherever you are on Orust.

THE COTTAGE
The cottage is very fresh with a large terrace facing the beautiful lake. Here the sun is on all day and there is comfortable outdoor furniture and charcoal grill for good barbecue evenings.
The cottage has most things you may need such as a bedroom, kitchen, toilet and shower.
There is also a nice wood stove and the owners offer wood and there is a sofa bed for a child or two.

THE LAKE
It is possible to swim in the lake, just 200 meters from the cottage. You bathe from a cliff. It is easy to go into the water, but you have to be able to swim. The bottom is not nice to walk on
To Kungsviken it is 8 km, where there is a nice bathing place if you want to swim in the sea. Or Henåns Småholmarna.

Enter the world of bees at Tavlebods honey farm”

Tavlebods honey farm, where you can see how bees live and produce honey. Here you also find “gofika” – a Swedish word for coffee and delicious pastry, and different honey products for sale. A day trip to Gullholmen or Kärringön is a must, the ferries depart from Tuvesvik. The two islands have no cars and are lovely to visit. The Pilgrimage Trail on Orust is 80 km long and connects eight churches. Töllås sheep farm has a wonderful café, where you also can buy vegetables from the garden, meat and wool products.

TJÖRN
An exciting and different art experience. In the middle of a Bohuslän cultural landscape with traces from the Stone Age and grazing, a sculpture exhibition with world-leading artists can be arranged every summer. Sculpture in Pilane. is an experience for everyone, both big and small. At Sundsby manor on Tjörn you can go on a guided tour and then eat something good in the café.
